Description
The partnership ability index (Schubert 2012) is the collaborator equivalent of the h-index. It is the largest value for which φ coauthors of the target author have produced at least φ publications with the target author.
A φ of zero would indicate the target author has only produced solo-author publications. A φ of one indicates at least one coauthor on one publication, but also at most one coauthor with whom they have published more than once.
φ is essentially a simple form of a collaboration network metric.
